A research published by SecTheory has showed that Firefox with two-addons (NoScript),Adblock Plus can significantly reduce the power consumption and save the world energy.

The power consumption is mainly caused by Flash and Ajax(Javascript). Therefore, using the noscript and adblockplus can significantly reduce the power consumption.
